Nezar Abou-Ismail has over 30 years of experience in the commercial and business areas. Mr. Abou-Ismail, is heavily involved in the Power, oil and gas, electricity, agricultural and mining areas of business and is very well connected to the decision makers in these sectors in Egypt as well as several other Arab and African countries, due to his past experience as a diplomat in the region.

Mr. Abou-Ismail was appointed as the Ambassador for the United Nations Disarmament Commission, acting as Commissioner for African countries. In addition, Mr. Abou-Ismail has further assumed the role of the Council for International Cooperation to the Chairman of the Arab Labor Organization. And currently is the Chairman of the Egyptian Moroccan Business Council. Mr. Abou-Ismail holds a BA in Anthropology from Alexandria University and a BA from the American University in Cairo, he also holds a Master Degree in Business Contracting Law from Central Michigan University, USA.

Karim has received his University degree in Geophysics from the University of Cairo in Egypt. He has over 20 years of experience with Oil & Gas Upstream sector. He has worked with various oil & gas international companies in operations, sales, marketing and managerial roles such as Guide Geoscience Technologies, GX Technology, ION Geophysical and BSG.

Karim has vast experience in business consultation in different industry sectors with focus on Energy sector. And currently Karim is the head of the Petroleum Committee of the Egyptian Moroccan Business Council.

Stefano Volterrani

Board Member

Prior to joining BSG in 2020, Stefano has worked in global oil and gas seismic reservoir characterization with EnTec, WesternGeco, Schlumberger and, most recently, ION where he was Vice President and Manager of the Reservoir Characterization Group.

Mr. Volterrani received his University degree in Geology from the University of Pisa in Italy. Stefano experience includes innovative product development and solution provision with emphasis on integrated technologies covering the entire E&P cycle for conventional and unconventional reservoirs.

Mr. Volterrani has been a developer of ‘seismic-well’ integration technologies for seismic processing parameter optimization, and of the design and commercialization of seismic inversion and time-lapse software workflows.

Selim is a globally minded professional with hands-on experience in business development, international trade, and client relationship management. Currently based in Cairo at Brightskies Geoscience, he brings a practical, results-driven approach to growing business opportunities and navigating complex markets. With a background spanning
Africa, the Middle East, and North America, Selim is skilled in sales strategy, logistics, and cross-cultural negotiation.

Previously, Selim managed exports in South Africa and Egypt, also led import operations in Egypt for food and beverage products. At Dakahlia Agricultural Development, he oversaw global sales for fresh and processed produce and represented the company at major international trade shows. he also has a background in event management in Canada, and is fluent in English, French and Arabic.
